Physicians Formula Happy Booster Glow & Mood Boosting Illuminating Bronzing Veil Review

Bronzer terrifies me, I always think I'm going to end up looking like a circus freak or Snooki orange, but this darling compact came as a bonus with the Physician's Formula Glow & Mood Boosting Blush so I'm going to take the bronzer plunge and review it for you guys! The shade reviewed is Light Bronzer, also available in the darker/muddier Bronzer.

Physician's Formula hit it out of the park with packaging for this product. My god it is so cute I just wanna die! The lid screws off to reveal a brush similar in style to that with the Benefit Bella Bamba Blush and a poof for larger areas, with the light gold and bronze loose powder hearts underneath and a mirror for touch-ups on the go. I used the brush for application, the powder poof didn't pick up any product and ends up being more useful at protecting the powder hearts from breaking in the compact than anything. A kabuki brush will likely pick up more product, but the little pink brush included is not that bad really. Physician's is not skimpy on product either, I counted 18 powder hearts altogether.

I wore this bronzer for the first time with a nude eye and peach lip for a shimmery neutral sunkissed look and loved the subtle end result. Keyword - subtle. As I said I'm not a full-time bronzer wearer nor am I comfortable with applying it, but I wouldn't actually call this product a bronzer it's more like shimmer powder. The effect was very mild with no color at all just shimmer, I even swept some down onto my collarbones after realizing how sheer and light a dusting these cute little powder hearts provide. If you're looking for any sort of coverage you won't get it here, and if I see it on sale in the future I will be picking up the darker shade of the PF Illuminating Bronzing Veil for hopefully more color result.

See, getting more confident with bronzer already hehe baby steps!

Physicians Formula claims this bronzer is infused with their Happy Boost Blend featuring Euphoryl, natural plant extracts which have been shown to promote a feeling of happiness by mimicking the effect of endorphins and protecting the skin from environmental stress. Personally I don't think a few small sweeps of shimmer on my cheek bones and temples will change my mood entirely or protect from smog, but using this product is simply happy boosting based on the yummy violet scent and pretty effect left on skin.

Overall this Illuminating Bronzing Veil is worth picking up if you are looking for a fun, light shimmery powder for nights out on the town or just that sheer hint of sparkle for your summer makeup look. It does not provide near as much coverage as a typical bronzer compact would, maybe the darker shade will but Light is sheer as sheer can be. And how can you say no to an adorable pink compact with powder hearts?

It's all about presentation for me with Happy Booster products, but you will pay for it as Physician's Formula is one of the more expensive drugstore brand cosmetics. This compact retails for $15.99 at Shopper's Drug Mart.

This product was purchased by G&G for review! xx
