The Seaweed line of skincare is best for combination skin, not so much dry skin, so I tend not to use these products as heavily in the winter. These two moisturizers do the same thing with the same ingredients, but the Moisture Lotion has sun protection (not much, SPF 15) and does end up feeling a bit heavier. I wear this one at night, it makes my skin feel so soft and moisturized!
If you can get your sun protection elsewhere, I would stick with the Mattifying Day Cream. It is more of a gel formulation and goes on damp skin beautifully. It mattifies almost instantly creating a good base for makeup or primer. Seaweed adapts to dry areas and oily areas of the skin giving the perfect amount of moisture where it is needed most. I find my skin much happier at the end of the day after using this in the morning.
Combination skin can be tough to deal with, but I am here to tell you from experience that you need this in your life if you struggle with an oily T-zone. There is also a Seaweed cleanser and night cream available along with a few other products in this the only line The Body Shop offers for combination skin!
